Deepika Padukone who has entertained us with her versatile acting in movies like Chennai Express, Ram Leela and Finding Fanny, has worked really hard for the movies to attain that perfection. One such instance is when see learned Bengali for her movie PIKU.
She has played variety of characters like a Tamilian in Chennai Express, a Gujarati in Ram Leela, a Maharashtrian in Happy New Year and a Goan in Finding Fanny and she learned Bengali so that she could pick up the accents but for Piku she chose to learn the language. She also shared that she found Bengali a sweet language.

Deepika found teachers for Bengali in director Shoojit Sircar and veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee to get the hang of the language. The film, which is based in West Bengal, stars Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan as well.
