Often described as the most beautiful woman of the world, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most influential celebrities in the world. Aishwarya started off her career as a fashion model and appeared in a number of television commercials. She later went on to win the title of Miss World 1994 and subsequently started receiving film offers. She made her Bollywood debut with the 1997 film Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya opposite Bobby Deol. The film was an average performer at the box-office. Her first commercial success was Jeans released in 1998. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas are her most remembered films till date, both of which were directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
