In college, Ankur was an active member in the theatre. He still used to perform in the theatre even though he got a job as an advertising technology. In 2014, he acted in a short film ‘100-The Tribute’ which was directed by Sidhhi Sundar and Raashi Desai.

He shifted to Mumbai to pursue acting as his full-time career. After a few cameos, he was noticed by the audience when he portrayed the role of Arjun Nair in Four More Shots Please! It became the turning point of his career.

His other remarkable performances were M.O.M: Mission Over Mars, Undekhi, and Hello Mini 2.He acted in few Bollywood movies too like The Tashkent Files, Sarabha: Cry For Freedom, Thappad, Taish. He also got an opportunity to feature himself in a Marathi film ‘Nirmal Enroute’ directed by Rishi Deshpande.
