Allah Rakha Rahman aka AR Rahman is one of India’s most influential musicians. Known as The Mozart of Madras, Rahman started off his career by composing jingles for advertisements. After doing some remarkable work in the world of advertising, Rahman was noticed by Mani Ratnam, who approached him for his film Roja that released in 1992. Roja’s music became a huge hit and there was no looking back for Rahman. He is the winner of two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, one BAFTA Award, one Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards and 16 Filmfare Awards South.  He is the recipient of Padma Bhushan. The musician is married to Saira Banu. The couple has three children.
