Since the year 1957, India has been sending its official movies for entry at the oscars, for the best Foreign Language Film category. First movie that was sent to Oscar was Mehboob Khan’s epic drama, Mother India, which even pave its way to oscar nominations.
Since then, the journey has been pretty memorable. Even thought, only three Indian movies able to get nomination (Mother India, Salaam Bombay! and Lagaan).
