In an interview, Varun revealed that he has auditioned for a role in the Kiran Rao directed movie Dhobi Ghat.

He was rejected in the audition and the role went to Prateik Babbar. Well, you can just imagine what his career would be if he made his Bollywood debut with Dhobi Ghat. He made a grand debut with the movie “Student Of the year”.
