The Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is all set to come on the silver screen once again with his film Gold. The film is based on the scenario of 14th Olympic Games in London in 1948. That time India for the first time took part in Olympics as an independent country. That time Indian Hockey team won the first gold medal for India. The inside sources told that more than 150 actors have worked in this film.

They played the roles of different players from different countries who took part in Olympics 1948. The film shoot took place at more than 12 stadiums and racecourse fields. It is a historic film that every Indian should watch. TV actress Mouni Roy is debuting in the Bollywood with this film, playing the lady love of Akshay Kumar.

Indian Hockey player and former captain Sandeep Singh also trained the actors with hockey skills. directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. The film is based on the first-ever hockey medal that was won by India after Independence. It focuses on the Golden era of Indian hockey. The film is scheduled to release on August 15 on the Independence Day of India.
