Farmers’ Protest: Man arrested for stopping Ajay Devgn’s car on Mumbai road; watch video

Bollywood celebs are constantly under the scrutiny of media and fans. On Tuesday (March 2) Ajay Devgn was heading to Filmcity for a shooting when his car was stopped by a man, who claimed to be a supporter of the protesting farmers. Reportedly, the unidentified man wanted the Tanhaji actor to comment on the ongoing farmer’s protest. A video of the commotion caused by the man’s action is now doing the rounds of the internet. Mumbai police have arrested the man under section 341, 504, 506 of the IPC.

According to a report in Zee News, Ajay’s car was stopped at Filmcity on Tuesday morning. A man, who claimed to be a supporter of the farmers, had stopped the actor’s car. Apparently, the man was angry with Ajay for not lending support to the ongoing farmer’s protest despite being a Punjabi. Now according to the ANI report, the man has been arrested by Mumbai police. Sharing an update about the case, the news agency tweeted, “Maharashtra: A person has been arrested for stopping actor Ajay Devgan’s car over his tweet regarding farmers’ protest, in Goregaon area of Mumbai today morning, say police.”

The Mumbai police have arrested the man for causing a commotion under section 341, 504, 506 of the IPC. Previously, commenting on the government’s policies, Ajay had tweeted, “Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. It’s important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting (sic).”
