10 Photos Show How Aspiring Actresses Auditioned For Bollywood In 1951

There have been many allegations on Bollywood producers and directors for asking aspiring actresses to have sex before casting them in a movie. There have been instances where actors have put allegations on female producers. The tales of casting couch have never been captured in photos.
They include director Abdur Rashid Kardar. He has 39 films to his credit including the Raj Kapoor starrer ‘Dastaan’ and Dilip Kumar starrer ‘Dil Diya Dard Liya’. James Burke, a photographer shot these for LIFE magazine in 1951. These photos have left us shocked and uneasy. They tell a different and dark tale about Bollywood.
