Per Episode Fees Of Bollywood Stars To Host TV Show

Bollywood celebs are well known for the exorbitant sums they charge for appearing on TV. Here is a look at the fees of popular B-town stars they charge to host TV show.
1.Salman Khan
Show: Bigg Boss, Dus Ka Dum
Fees: Rs. 6 to 8 crore per episode

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back on the small screen with the tenth season of the reality show, “Bigg Boss”. He host this show from it’s forth season. For the tenth season of the show the actor charge Rs. 6 to 8 crore per episode. In addition of “Bigg Boss” Salman also hosted realty show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, for which his fees was around 80 Lakh per episode.

2. Amitabh Bachchan
Show: Kaun Banega Crorepati
Fees: Rs. 3.5-5 crore per episode

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has gained a lot popularity by hosting biggest Indian reality show KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati). Big B charged a measly 25 lakhs per episode in the first season. With the prize money on the show going up from 1 crore in 2000 to 7 crore in 2013, Big B’s fee has also gone up substantially. Later, he charge 3.5-5 crore per episode of the show.
3. Aamir Khan
Show: Satyamev Jayate
Fees: Rs. 4 crore per episode

Mr Perfectionist Aamr Khan made his debut on TV in 2012 with his socially relevant show “Satyamev Jayate”. The show became the talking point for all the right and wrong reasons. As per industry sources, Aamir charged 2 lakhs per 10 seconds for the promotional trailers of the show, and 4 crores per episode.
4. Shah Rukh Khan
Show: KBC third season, Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain, India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?, Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout,
Fees: Rs. 2.5 crore per episode

Everyone knows Shah Rukh Khan started his career with TV – the hugely successful “Fauji” and “Circus”, yet King Khan has not been received too well as the host. He tried his hand at four reality shows “KBC Season 3″, “Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?”, “Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout”, and “India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?”. In 2011, he charged 2.5 crores for Zor Ka Jhatka…, an Indian adaptation of the American reality show Wipeout.

5. Hrithik Roshan
Show: Just Dance
Fees: Rs. 2 crore per episode

Hrithik Roshan made is television debut with dance realty show “Just Dance” in 2011. It is said that per episode cost of the reality show was around 4 crores and 50% of it was attributed to the fee Hrithik charged – 2 crores per episode.
6. Akshay Kumar
Show: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Masterchef India
Fees: Rs. 1.5 crore per episode

Akshay Kumar’s first stint on TV was in 2008, as the host for “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi”, for which he charged approximately a crore. But he hiked his fees when he donned the chef’s cap in the first season of “Masterchef India” in 2010. Akshay, who loves cooking, charged 1.5 crore for appearing as a judge on the show.
7. Sanjay Dutt
Show: Bigg Boss 5
Fees: Rs. 1 crore per episode

Sanjay Dutt roped in for much less for the fifth season of the show “Bigg Boss”. Sanju Baba’s fee for a single episode was 1 crore. The TRPs that season weren’t that great, and Salman Khan was brought back the next year.

8. Shilpa Shetty

Show: Bigg Boss 2
Fees: Rs. 80 Lakh per episode

Shilpa Shetty, who achieved only moderate success in Bollywood but hit the big time by winning “Big Brother” in the UK, is earning Rs 80 lakh for anchoring each episode of Big Brother’s Indian version, “Bigg Boss” season 2 on Colors.
9. Mallika Sherawat
Show: The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika
Fees: Rs. 80 Lakh per episode

After Rahul Mahajan, Rakhi Sawant and Ratan Rajputit it was Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat’s turn to hold a swayamvar of sorts for herself on TV. As per the source the actress charged 80 lakhs for every episode of the show.
10. Priyanka Chopra
Show: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3
Fees: Rs. 50 Lakh per episode

The actress did not charge the same fee as her predecessor but is was a big deal that Priyanka replaced Khiladi Akshay Kumar as the host of “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” in 2010. In fact, PC is the lowest paid Bollywood actress on Indian TV as she charge Rs. 50 Lakh per episode.
