Woah… Kareena Kapoor Khan Herself Was An Inspiration Behind Poo’s Character In ‘K3G’

After the birth of her Baby boy Taimur Ali Khan last year, the fans and admirers of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan were eagerly waiting for her to return on the big screen. Many would be aware that recently the actress is back on the film sets and have started shooting for her upcoming film ‘Veere Di Wedding’. If we have a close look at the more than a decade long career of the actress, it wouldn’t be wrong in saying that apart from her acting prowess, she is undisputedly considered as the fashion icon of the industry. And when we recall about Kareena and fashion together, who wouldn’t remember her popular character of Poo in filmmaker Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’ (2001). Although, the actress had made her debut with ‘Refugee’ (2000) and went on work in a couple of films after that, it was the character of Poo, that proved to be a big breakthrough in her acting career at that point of time. However, not many would be aware that this iconic and fabulous character found its inspiration in none other than Kareena herself. Recently, our eyes caught upon an old interview of Kareena. The actress had appeared as the celebrity guest on host Simi Garewal’s talk show ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’. And it was her friend and filmmaker Karan Johar who revealed (through a special message) that his inspiration for the character of Poo was Kareena herself. Yes! You read that right.

It was during her conversation, when she was asked that how much like Poo is she in real life? The actress replied to this by saying, “You know in real life actually you won’t believe it if I tell you. I’m too simple a girl, I would never dress like her, I would never wear the kind of clothes she wore, I would never put so much makeup on, I would not be bothered if my hair is completely out of place or not, I mean and I had to play this character, so I don’t know how I did it.”
