Smiley Suri tied the knot on 02 July 2014 with the dance instructor Vineet Bangera. Vineet hails from south, so wedding was a beautiful amalgamation of North and South rituals. Vineet and Smilie met when the latter joined Vineet’s dance classes to learn salsa.

In an recent interview Suri said “I had put on lot of weight post marriage and also had few health issues, including Thyroid and PCOD. I had not been exercising nor dancing or doing any kind of physical activities. So, I put on weight and then it was very difficult to lose because of hormonal issue. Immediately, I did Nach Baliye and I used to look over-weight on the screen. I did not realize at that moment. But then, the channel people, other contestants, many friends and well- wishers asked me to lose weight. I had gone upto 64 kilos; my husband Vineet also did not realized about it. And then, I did a medical checkup and started concentrating on regaining my health. I am happy to see myself slimmer than before.”
