Wait, WHAT? Shah Rukh Khan’s House Mannat Originally Belongs To This Gujarati Man.

The royal abode of King Khan – Mannat – is what we’ve always known this building as. Turns out that not only does this originally belong to somebody else, but was also named something else in the first place. It had nothing to do with Bollywood or a star.

Mannat was originally named as ‘Villa Vienna’ by its original owner Kekoo Gandhy, a Parsi man, of Gujarati origin. Kekoo Gandhy was a craftsman and a gallerist. Kekoo also owned another building next to ‘Villa Vienna’, known as ‘Kekee Manzil’. Here’s how Shah Rukh Khan entered his life, and everything changed for Kekoo.
