Gandhy’s maternal grand father Maneckji Batliwala was the person who called Gandhy’s guardians to come to Mumbai. His eldest daughter, Gandhy’s mom Roshan used to live in Villa Vienna itself.

Kekoo Gandhy met Shah Rukh when SRK got a pit burrowed close to his house for a phone association. This angered Gandhy extremely. It was when Shah Rukh came to Gandhy’s house to apologize for the inconvenience caused, they initially met.

Due to some financial reasons, Kekoo Gandhy’s maternal grand father Maneckji Batliwala needed to lease Villa Vienna, and went to live in Kekee Manzil. Batliwala left the majority of his belonging for his sister Khurshedbai. Hence, she and her spouse got to live in ‘Villa Vienna’. As they had nobody else in the family to continue their legacy or take care of their property, Khurshedbai offered ‘Villa Vienna’ to her sister Gulbaano, who further left it to her child Nariman Dubash.
