Bio:

Bhumi Pednekar worked as an assistant casting director with Yash Raj Films for almost six years before making her acting debut with the production house’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.  It was a dream debut of sorts for Bhumi who had no plans to become an actress. She received rave reviews from audience and critics alike and even won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in the film. Post that, she appeared in films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Savdhan, both of which were critical and commercial successes.
