We all know Farhaan Akhtar did exceptionally well by reliving the life of athlete Milkha Singh in the movie. Little you know, many actors auditioned for the role.

In an interview, makers cleared that they had 3 names in the shortlist to play the role and Ranveer Singh was also on the list. They cast Farhan saying Ranveer was way too energetic for the role.
