Mahira Khan as Aasiya Alam

It was nothing short of a dream debut for any actress as debutante Mahira Khan got a chance to star opposite none other than the King of Romance, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The Pakistani actress made her Bollywood debut in ‘Raees’ and delivered a good performance playing Raees’s (SRK’s character) love interest. Her pairing with SRK looked fresh and was great especially in songs ‘Zaalima’ and ‘Udi Udi Jaye’. Her character Aasiya provided a good support in the film and therefore found a place in everyone’s hearts and our list of Best Female Debut of 2017.

Saba Qamar as Meeta Batra

Undoubtedly, one of the most brilliant and promising debuts of 2017 was actress Saba Qamar’s performance in ‘Hindi Medium’. The Pakistani actress delivered a controlled performance with a panache and went on to win hearts. She had a superb chemistry with co-star Irrfan Khan. It was their scenes that perfectly made this light-hearted situational comedy based on social issues a must watch for everyone. Certainly, it is now hard to even imagine anyone in Bollywood playing the role as Saba did.
