Sajal Ali’s character Arya in ‘MOM’ was nothing short of impactful and terrific. Her character gave her immense scope to showcase her fantastic acting talent and she delivered a powerful performance. There were some sequences where her acting as a rape victim literally makes you feel about the character’s pain, even giving goosebumps. Indeed, it is one of the best promising performances of 2017.

‘Qaidi Band’ showcased a riveting tale of a group of undertrials with an interesting premise and some crackling performances. Among the principal cast, debutante Anya Singh’s performance surely stood out of all and she turned out to be the true blue Rockstar in this musical drama. Her raw energy and heartfelt innocence left many impressed. And indeed, Anya’s infectious energy and honesty managed to make a mark.
