Ashutosh Gowarikar, who was good friend of Aamir Khan and also the two were working together in Lagaan, offer a role in ‘Swdesh’ but Aamir rejected the role saying that he got bored with it. Aamir decided not to be a part of Swades but was still present at the muhurat of the movie.
